Site and operating requirements

  • Identify the external energy input and the maximum permitted rotor, bearing and spring limits from the selected kit.
  • Use a stable dry bench, guards and a clear stop procedure. Do not increase speed to chase a voltage reading.

Tools and measuring equipment

  • Ruler/caliper, tachometer or timed revolution count, correctly rated meter and the manufacturer’s matched leads and loads.

Output and operating conditions

Genecon V3: maximum 3 V DC; a continuous current or wattage rating is not published. Measure loaded V × I. Output stops when cranking stops.

OEM dimensions below belong only to Genecon V3. PASCO EM-8090 separately documents a permanent-magnet motor used as a generator.

Parts, quantities and dimensions

PartQuantitySpecification / dimensions
Narika Genecon V31B10-2634-W0; 115 × 140 × 43 mm; about 120 g; polycarbonate enclosure; maximum 3 V DC.
Supplied lead11 m lead with alligator clips.
Compatible lamp module / meter1Use the manufacturer’s matched low-voltage load. Current rating is not verified; do not substitute a phone.

Preparation and component checks

  • Check the 115 × 140 × 43 mm enclosure, handle clearance and 1 m lead on the named V3 unit. Do not open the casing or attach an unknown generator load.
  • Record voltage across the matched load. For current, use the correct fused current range and series connection; never place a meter in current mode across the output.

Procedure

  1. 1

Inspect the enclosed generator and matched load; keep the apparatus dry.

  2. 2

Connect the matched lamp with the supplied lead while the handle is stopped.

  3. 3

Turn slowly as directed by the manual. Observe the lamp and stop; observe the loss of output.

  4. 4

Use a correctly configured meter to record loaded voltage and current; calculate W = V × A.

Safety and inspection

Keep the casing fitted. Never connect external power, mains wiring or a battery unless the manufacturer specifically permits it.

Verify the result

A magnet supplies a field, not an ongoing fuel supply. Do not transfer specifications between models.

Measurement log

  • Load identity, direction and duration of cranking, loaded V and A measured together, calculated W, and time until the lamp goes out after stopping.

Maintenance and repeat checks

  • Inspect the housing, handle and clips before each session. Stop if the handle binds, housing cracks or leads become hot.

Troubleshooting

No output, abnormal heat, noise, vibration or leaks
Stop and isolate first. Check the documented input, load compatibility, alignment and connections; keep guards fitted and refer specialist systems to their installer.
